Treatment Specialties

  • I provide evidence-based therapies to address depression and anxiety. Through a combination of CBT, ACT, positive psychology and humanistic approaches, all aspects of a person’s environment and life are addressed which help to improve mood and increase functioning. By tailoring treatment to the specific needs and goals of each person, I utilize a person’s innate strengths to build a solid foundation to prevent a recurrence of the symptoms.

  • Recognizing the intricate relationship between mind and body, I specialize in addressing how emotional stress affects physical health. By integrating psychological interventions with medical knowledge I can assist individuals in coping with chronic conditions, pain management, and adapting to healthy lifestyle changes.

  • Relationships are vital to our overall well-being, and I offer guidance and support to help individuals navigate relationship struggles, find dysfunctional patterns and move past old wounds. Whether it's improving communication, resolving conflicts, or rebuilding trust, I work collaboratively with clients to foster healthier connections and improve their quality of life.

  • Stress has become a prevalent aspect of modern life, impacting mental and physical health. Finding a balance with our stress is crucial to our happiness. Eliminating harmful behaviors to cope with stress, as well as learning stress management techniques such as relaxation and cognitive restructuring, empower individuals to effectively manage stress and enhance their resilience.

  • Life transitions can be challenging and overwhelming and very exciting. They are an opportunity to take an inventory of our hopes and dreams and to make changes more consistent with our values. By exploring goals and overcoming barriers to change, I aim to foster personal growth, self-discovery, and emotional well-being during and after these transitional phases.

  • Assertiveness skills are imperative in the development of self-esteem. Being assertive is not only an effective communication skill, but also a mechanism of self-respect and confidence. By being able to express your thoughts, opinions and feelings you are better able to resolve conflict and develop mutual respect. Assertiveness helps us set boundaries, and to feel empowered. If you find yourself feeling helpless, powerless and/or angry and resentful towards others, you may benefit from learning assertiveness skills.

  • I believe that the way to achieve overall wellness is to promote the integration of mental, emotional, and physical health. I work collaboratively with individuals to develop personalized wellness plans encompassing exercise, nutrition, self-care, and mindfulness practices to optimize overall well-being. This process often leads to a greater sense of confidence and more authentic and meaningful experiences in life.

Treatment Philosophy

I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship, and this serves as the foundation for my concierge-style practice. I provide high-quality and comprehensive care with an active engagement style. I approach each client with openness, acceptance and honesty and I request the same of my clients. Interventions will be theory and/or evidence-based and tailored to the client's goals and needs. My intention is to help people transform their lives and to live the life that makes them happy.

Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms-to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way.”
